Knowing Your Rights as an Academic Author

graphic advertising faculty publication workshop

Posted

Have you ever wanted to put your research into a repository? Or wanted to share your published articles with students, colleagues, or on your personal website? Do you know what rights you have regarding your research once it’s been published?

This workshop will guide you through your rights as an author of journal articles. We will explore the basics of author rights and copyright, how you can ensure your rights to share and disseminate your work, and the benefits that Open Access publishing can provide to you as a researcher and author. You’ll also get some hands-on experience evaluating publication agreements.

This workshop is cohosted by librarians from all four CU campuses, and is open to any faculty, staff, or students interested in learning more about author’s rights in academic publishing. Questions about this workshop? Contact Susan Vandagriff, svandagr@uccs.edu.

The workshop will be hosted on Zoom. To register and receive the Zoom link, visit: https://colorado.libcal.com/event/7512192
