Library Construction As the Fall Semester Begins

Welcome back, UCCS! As the Fall semester begins, we want to provide the campus with an update on the library construction project that began in May.

The 2nd floor of the Kraemer Family Library is undergoing a major update, including the installation of new carpet, and the construction of two new classrooms, a multipurpose event space, a rennovated staff work area, and a new Library Assistance Desk.

This project is still underway and the Library will look a little different as the semester begins:

  • Both floors of the library remain open.
  • Expect some noise and dust on the 2nd floor.
  • The Library Assistance Desk has been temporarily relocated to the Computer Assistance Desk.
  • Computer assistance is available on the 1st floor of the El Pomar Center, below the library.
  • We have set up temporary greeter stations at both entrances to the library to help you navigate the space.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you have a great start to your semester!
