Electronic reserve items are posted to you Canvas course page. Items which may be placed on Electronic Reserve include:

  • Book selections
  • Journal articles
  • Streaming videos

By submitting a course reserve form. There are different forms for print course reserves and electronic course reserves.

Requests should be submitted at least one week prior to the date needed for class. Requests are usually processed within 48 hours but more time may be needed at the beginning of a semester or if the item is unavailable. All requests are processed in the order received.

All Reserve materials are held at the Main Circulation Desk, which is near the west entrance of the library on the 2nd floor of the El Pomar Center. Your student should provide the desk attendant with the title of the item you want and they'll retrieve it for them.

Some instructors choose to place a personal copy of the course text on Reserve. The Library does occasionally purchase textbooks. You can also contact your Department's Subject Librarian to see if the Library owns a copy or to request that we purchase one.
