The Kraemer Family Library is thrilled to host its 13th Annual Copyright Conference, themed Innovating Through Disruption: The Copyright Challenge.

In 2026, the conference will explore how disruption—driven by rapid technological change, evolving legal frameworks, and shifting cultural expectations—is transforming the landscape of copyright, libraries, and access to knowledge. What was once considered stable and predictable is now in flux, prompting new questions about ownership, access, and the role of information professionals.

This year’s program brings together librarians, scholars, legal experts, and information practitioners to examine the challenges and possibilities that disruption creates. From emerging technologies like artificial intelligence to changing publishing and licensing models, participants will engage with the forces that are reshaping how knowledge is created, shared, and preserved.

Through engaging sessions and conversations, attendees will explore how copyright policies are evolving, how access models are being redefined, and how libraries can position themselves as leaders in shaping more equitable and forward-looking systems of knowledge sharing.

Join us as we navigate disruption together and consider how it can serve as a catalyst for creativity, resilience, and meaningful change in the future of libraries and copyright.
