Six-Word Scary Story Challenge 2026

2026 Six-word scary stories

πŸŽƒ It's that time of year... Spook us in six words! πŸŽƒ

The Kraemer Family Library invites all UCCS community members to craft a chilling six-word story. Six entries will be randomly selected to win a KFL mug!

What is a six-word story? A six-word story tells a complete story in just six words. Here are a couple examples from previous challenges:

The last text read: behind you! – Jean-Paul Laurenceau

Every password changes, but he remains.- Patrick Brady

Need inspiration? Browse stories from the Six-Word Scary Stories Challenges (2021-2025) and see how much suspense can fit into six words.
