Dr. Matthew Wynia is the Director of the University of Colorado Center for Bioethics and Humanities. He is the author of more than 140 published articles, chapters and essays, co-editor of several books, and co-author of a book on fairness in health care benefit design. His work has been published in JAMA, the New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, Health Affairs, and other leading medical and ethics journals, and he is a contributing editor for the American Journal of Bioethics. He has discussed his work as a guest on the BBC, ABC News, and National Public Radio, among others. Dr. Wynia recently published Why It Is Important to Promote Clinical Independence Among Health Professionals Working in Prisons, Jails, and Other Detention Settings, in the American Journal of Public Health.
